Variable attenuator "VARILUX"
The variable beam attenuator enables a continuous attenuation of the laser energy and is specially used for high-power excimer lasers.The optic components of the device consist of a dielectric filter for beam attenuation as well as a neutral optical unit to compensate the beam displacement. The continuous attenuation of the coupled laser beam is attained by changing the angle of incidence of the dielectric filter in the range of 0° to 45°. The device is available as hand-operated version with mechanical gear or as motor-driven version together with the controller model ML 2010 (see separate datasheet).
For laserbeam attenuation at vacuum- or gas purging conditions
The variable attenuator allows quasicontinuous variation of the laser energy. The attenuator consists of a welded stainless steel vacuum housing with two DN 50 flanges at beam entrance and exit of the beam. An additional DN 16 flange sideways of the housing can be used to evacuate the housing or for purging with gas. The system uses a dielectric beam splitter for attenuation of the beam. The displacement of the beam can be compensated with neutraloptical components. The attenuation of the incoming beam can be adjusted continuously by tilding the dielectrical filter in the range of 0° to 45°.
Compact attenuator "POLARLUX
The compact attenuator ML 2300 has a constant attenuation factor of pproximately 400 and is suitable as a pre-attenuator for the investigation of intense laser radiation. The ML 2300 is frequently used in combination with series-connected neutral density filters for beam profile analysis with the cameras ML 3200, ML 3000, or together with the wavefront
sensor ML 4000 OptiLux.
